• Outstanding Philanthropist / Volunteer

  • Paying tribute to an individual or family with a proven record of exceptional generosity of their time, talent, or treasure. Through their direct financial or volunteer-driven support, they demonstrate outstanding civic and charitable responsibility and generosity and encourage others to take philanthropic leadership roles on a community level. This individual demonstrates outstanding skills in coordinating and motivating groups of donors and volunteers for fund-raising projects for the benefit of charitable institutions.​

• Outstanding Fundraising Professional

  • Honoring an outstanding individual fundraising professional who works directly for a nonprofit charitable organization. Consultants or other individuals not working directly for a charity are ineligible for this award. Nominees must have a MINIMUM of 5 years of experience as a professional fundraiser working directly for a nonprofit organization (years as a consultant will not be considered). Involvement with AFP will be taken into consideration during the judging process.

• Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (Ages 5-23)

  • This award recognizes service by an individual or group of young people who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering and leadership in philanthropy. ​

• Outstanding Corporation or Community Foundation

  • Honoring a corporation, its corporate foundation or a community foundation that demonstrates outstanding commitment through financial support through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement. ​

• Outstanding Nonprofit

  • Honoring an organization that demonstrates excellence commitment, creativity, flexibility, and overwhelming impact in the community. These organizations have taken their mission to new heights and uplifted the communities they serve in outstanding ways. More than one organization may be recognized in this category. ​
